He has seven years of technology experience at Computer Science Corporation (Consulting division) in the US, during which period he worked in all roles from programmer to the technical architect on projects with several Fortune 500 companies. For the last 16 years, he has been with AgriWatch, where he has been a consultant to government as well as corporates in the areas of policy advocacy, Agri-commodities market intelligence, crop estimation, ICT in Agriculture, hedging and risk management, procurement strategies, primary research, and data-driven agriculture. Dr. Sadamate is the former Adviser Agriculture, Planning Commission. He graduated from Pune Agriculture College in 1973. Later, he did his Masters& Ph.D. in Agricultural
Extension from IARI, New Delhi in 1975 and 1979 respectively. Dr Sadamate acquired post-Doctorate from the Michigan State University, the US as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar in Advanced Extension Management Training at Wisconsin, Cornell Universities and the Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA), London, UK. He has rich experience for the last four decades in Agricultural Extension, Management, and Planning. He worked with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as a Junior Scientist (1978-1982), with the Ministry of Agriculture (1982-2005) as Director and then, Additional Commissioner (Extension) and as Adviser, Agriculture (2006-2013) in the Planning Commission, Government of India. He was associated with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as Principal Consultant, FAO, New Delhi (2013) and with Department of Land Resources (DoLR), World Bank assisted Watershed Management Project as Agricultural Convergence Expert (2013-2015). Presently, he works as an Independent Agricultural Extension Specialist.
